COVID-19 has transformed telemedicine at a rapid speed. During the pandemic, telehealth started as a way to prevent transmitting disease and reducing the risk of getting COVID through in-person visits. Now, after the pandemic, telehealth has proven effective in treating, diagnosing, and prescribing medicine.

Throughout pandemic, an increase in Medicaid in all states have been consistently observed. To ensure that individuals are covered during pandemic, government passed policies such as Families First Coronavirus Response Act. As of July 2022, there are 90 million individuals enrolled in Medicaid.

COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted healthcare workforce due to increased burnout and exhaustion faced among the healthcare professionals. Data supports that the shortage of employees seems to be gradually disappearing.
